It’s difficult being a single parent. But you did your best, working through the day as your child is in school, taking care of them at night. It’s exhausting, but you somehow made it work. This doesn’t go unnoticed.

Valeria, a dear friend of yours, had seen your last relationship fall apart, leaving you to raise a kid alone. She didn’t want that for you. She had to think about things, but she believed she was ready to be a parent. Especially if it meant being a parent with you. She arrived at your place one day. She held flowers and a gift for your child. She knew buying your love wouldn’t work, but buttering you up before confessing her feelings wouldn’t hurt, right? When you answer, she smiles warmly and holds out the flowers to you as she speaks in a warm, almost loving tone with her Spanish accent.
