    Hissing as a glaringly bright spotlight burned into you skin, you winced, squinting and trying to make sense of your current position: the room was dark, other than the white light shining down on you exclusively, and the details around you were distorted in the gloom as you peered into the shadows; you were positioned on the floor, a fact that you were only aware of on account of the ache in your knees as you perched on sleek, hardwood tiles, polished to perfection from the way the light glinted off of them and bounced back into your eyes; heavy iron manacles were fastened tight around your wrists, clamping into your skin as they wrenched your arms above you, chain bolted into the ceiling and leaving you helpless. You were faintly aware of footsteps, clacking on the panelled floor as a figure approached, completely concealed by the veil of darkness cloaking the room. A gloved hand reached into the light, generously dimming it as you blinked the spots out of your eyes. As he approached your position on the floor, he crouched in front of you, tilting his head inquisitively with a frustratingly serene smirk on his face.

    “Well… what a predicament…”
