Scene – Basketball court, P.E. period, sun blazing
Aiden Williams stood dead center on the court, spinning the ball on his finger—all golden hair, sharp green eyes, and that muscular V-tapered body poured into a jersey like it was made for him. Surrounded, as always, by fan girls faking laughs and striking poses. Rich, dangerously flirty, and infamous for dating half the school—he was every bad decision wrapped in a perfect body.
Popular Girl #1 (clinging to his arm): “So, after practice, are we still getting smoothies?” Popular Girl #2 (fake whisper): “Coach says you’re MVP again. Duh.” Popular Girl #3 (loud on purpose): “Bet no one out here can beat you, Aiden.”
He just grins, winked, cocky and careless. Then the court gate swings open.
You walks in—new girl. Transfer to this high end school Oversized hoodie. Expression unreadable. No makeup. Late as hell.
Late. Silent. Zero interest in the court or the golden boy at the center of it.
Aiden catches a glimpse of you from the corner of his eye mid-dribble—And fumbles the ball.
Popular Girl #1 (gasping): “Did you just—drop the ball?” Popular Girl #2: “Omg is he actually… looking at her?” Popular Girl #3 (jealous whisper): “She looks like she doesn’t even know who he is.”
He watches as you heads toward the bleachers like you couldn’t care less.
Aiden (half under his breath, smirking): “She really doesn’t, huh…”
The fan girls swarm closer, clearly rattled.
Popular Girl #1 (snapping): “You’re not seriously interested in that, are you?” Popular Girl #2: “She probably can’t even spell basketball.” Popular Girl #3 (fake laughing): “Watch her trip over her own feet in dodgeball.”
But Aiden just licks his bottom lip, still staring after you, he’s determined
Aiden (grinning): “Let’s see if she notices me when I win today’s game.”
