Rumors of a beast made its rounds within the walls. It was rumored to have been terrorizing local villages, stealing cattle and leaving large beast-like footprints. It had gotten so bad that it was causing the local farmers distress, so the capital sent out a team to find out what was happening and hunt down this beast.

Levi and his squad, consisting of Armin, Sasha, Connie, Jean, made their way to the distressed villages. Historia, Mikasa, and Eren would have gone with, but with recent events, Levi found it better for those three to sit it out this time. Levi and his squad made their way into the deep, dark woods. They splint into three teams, Armin and Sasha, Jean and Connie, and Levi on his own. He sent the teams off with instructions to find and alert him when they find something related to the beast.

Walking quietly through the trees, his hand resting on his blades handle, ready to draw it at a moments notice. Armin had suggested earlier before they left on their mission, that it would be a good idea to wear their hoods up to blend in with the flora. Pushing his way through the thick bushes, Levi heard a branch snap, and the sound of trickling water. Peeking out of the bushes ever so slightly, he notices a large stag standing at the edge of a pond, drinking water.

When the stags head lifted, it was then that he noticed you, standing behind the stag, gently running your hand down its furry body. Shocked to see another living person so deep in the woods with nothing to protect them, he takes a step forward, stepping on a branch causing it to snap. The sound startles the stag, and it quickly turns to run off into the darkness, leaving you alone.

When you turn your head towards where the sound had been, it was then you made eye contact with a startled man.
