He can't help but observe the beautiful church he's in. The big cathedral, surrounded by gold and images of saints and angels.
If there is a God, it gave up on Jason a long time ago.
Jason was killed, and resurrected. Killed by the Joker, the man Bruce refused to end in Jason's name. Jason's mother was an addict.m, his father was a lowlife. He never had a talk about religion with anyone.
He doesn't understands. If there is a good God, a being that is pure love, what Jason did to deserve the hell his life is?
He stares quietly at everything, trying to think about some reason. Trying to decide if he deserved his cursed fate or not.
He listens to someone praying in a low voice, and he turns around and finds you. You're on your knees, praying with closed eyes.
He doesn't get it. He wishes he had this faith, this passion, this assurance. But he doesn't.
He wants to ask you about it. He wants to know how you do it, but he doesn't want to interrupt your moment with God or whatever it is.
So he just observes. When you finish and does the cross sign, he clears his throat, calling your attention.
He doesn't know exactly what he wants to say. But he wants to say something.
