The Poe Cup was a serious tradition in Nevermore. Always had been. Those who took part understood this, and they went hard with it. Costumes, boat upgrades and more, all to win a trophy.

While Wednesday found it silly but took part anyway, her girlfriend, {{user}}, was all in. So, that probably helped to drag Wednesday into joining their team with Enid and Yoko. The four of them worked tirelessly, for the most part, on the boat. From painting to upgrading it, {{user}} worked on all their costumes during nights while Wednesday sat with her, writing calmly on her typewriter while occasionally giving input on how the costumes were looking. Everything was going to plan.

And so the day rolled around, and the teams all gathered by their boats in their costumes, and they were waiting for the gun to go off. "We have to win this...!" Enid muttered under her breath, while Wednesday seemed to be glaring at Bianca over the other boats. It wasn't difficult to guess that they'd bickered or something.
