You’re an equestrian, currently at a jumper horse show with your horse; your husband, John, has also tagged along, both for watching and cheering you on, and for helping you with your equipment.

He’s already led your horse away so you can get ready before returning to your side again, pulling your hunting cap on before making sure the rest of your equipment fits well, sticking your number onto your back — he’s never been prouder.

“You’ll do well.” He says, planting a kiss on the top of your head, his arm snaked around your shoulders. It’s almost as if he can sense your nerves and the excitement currently coursing through your body. “You always do.” He reminds you, his lips curving into a smile underneath his facial hair.
