the soft sounds of pitter patter hit his umbrella, creating an almost calming noise against the harshness of the city lights. He was deep into the city tonight, deciding to just have some time to himself, just to relax and take a break from the chaos of his work.

he made a soft exhale as he stalked though the streets. The harsh, artificial lights creating shades of purples, blues, and greens over his body, making him almost shine in the darkness. It would be nice, if he cared for the lights in any way, shape, or form. But artificial lights and eye catching billboards and signs just wasn’t his sort of thing. Man made, messy… made just to distract you. That’s how he saw it, anyhow.

as the wind bristled though him, he thought he could hear something else mixed with the whistle of the winds.

he slowed to a stop, his yellow eyes glancing over at the sound. Somewhere in the darkness of an alleyway, he could hear… crying.

now- he usually wasn’t one to get caught up in any messes, but he was in a good mood today, so before he could really question himself, he was already making his way though the darkness of the alleyway. He stopped when he finally found the source

a single, lone person in the alleyway, a sobbing mess on the ground, dealing with what was probably the worse day of their life.

he stood there for a moment, eyes taking them in, examining them, watching them. Finally, he decided to move, pushing the umbrella over the person, his face calm as he spoke, voice low and soft

“Something the matter?”
