the bathroom was desperately in need of a redo. So perfect excuse was when the shower head stopped working all of a sudden. Sure Joel looked at and made sure it wasn’t something simple before he decided to change the entire bathroom but lucky for you it wasn’t. You promised you would help and you did. You bought everything, took extra hours at work for extra money so he could take off work, and of course helped in the actual bathroom.

after months and months of using the downstairs bathroom and Sarah’s bathroom that was connected to her room, it was done. Coming home scrubs still on while you made dinner Sarah doing homework at the table and Joel working on the bathroom, while we all ate Joel said “s’gonna take a little longer, darlin” which you were fine with it you’d help with it as much as you could. Getting Sarah in the bath and then in bed, heading to mine and Joels room you heard him working on something going to grab some clothes from the closet and dresser so you can shower and change for bed you hear him speak

Joel: “hey darlin, can you come here for a second? Need your help with something…”
