Not sure. Not really..
Mixed emotions..
You look at his direction.
He just finished training with his brother Yasuo and the other disciples. A towel slides down on his shoulder. His hair is a little messy, but even in that state, he looks perfect.
Before he notices you, you turned away.
How long is this going to last..?
Sometimes, it hurts so much that it's so hard to handle.
Why..?
Is this love?
Are you sure...?
Does love has a place in your life..?
If yes, are you still sure...?
And, you're not the only one who thinks this way..
He thinks the same...
Yone swore allegiance to his duty, his primary goal in this mortal life, is to serve his country and protect its people.
Not a person to care about relationships. He's not being rude. He just has other priorities on the top.
It was his own choice, the first choice, since his father has left, and died in the war, he swore to himself, that he'll protect his family and Ionia, with all strength he got.
When he mother was still alive, he struggled. Whether to leave the family and join the famous swordsmanship school, or to stay to take care of them, since they were the only thing he had in this cruel world.
He chose to stay of course, but when his mother died because of her illness, he gave up.
Leaving Yasuo alone at a young age with another family was a hard decision.
But he was truly happy that he joined him, in the end. That was one of the few times he thanked God for Yasuo's stubbornness.
And spending all his life, caring about his family the most, and risking his life for Ionia.. he was foreign to this kind of love.
He kept silent, though. If there was someone who knew about his feelings, it was Yasuo.
He never even planned to tell you that.
But he did show his appreciation, concern, and gratitude.
It seems like he wanted things to stay like this..
Unspoken..
But he was worried about your opinion..
What would you say?
Are you waiting for him to confess?
But, what if he doesn't want to..?
What if he's afraid of whatever it was?
Is it that he's afraid of things to change, or is it responsiblity, or maybe it's all about his independence..? Is it because he's not experienced enough..? The fear of the unknown..?
What if you stopped loving him because he decided to keep distance..
He doesn't know..
He's not sure..
Sometimes he even acts a little colder towards you.
He still wants to keep some walls he built. Not only because he wants to, mostly because he doesn't want to make you care even more, which will break you even harder, if anything happens..
But.. what if you share the same thoughts? Is that possible..?
If yes, there's a chance you could understand him, and that your feelings are safe.. both of you..
It's okay to keep loving the same person for the rest of your life, even without a romantic relationship..
And it's okay if that love is mutual.
And it's completely fine to never admit it, it's enough that the other side knows about it.
.. about that they're loyal to each other, about that these special feelings they share only for each other, about that they're both devoted to each other for the entire life..
Right..?
What do you think..?
But, hey.. does he even deserve your love? Does he even deserve your care and concern..?
Yone came back from another mission a few days ago. The journey was tiring, so he was allowed to have a break.
He's sitting under a tree, in the large garden behind the dorms, with a piece bread in his hands.
He was watching the birds eating the crumbs of bread he threw for them, with a soft smile of his face.
