The piles of papers felt never ending. Dazai was exhausted. He had barely had enough time to go home to change clothes once this month. He felt gross, hungry, and like he was about to pass out.
He had been stuck in a constant cycle of work, pass out, work, pass out, work, pass out, snack, and repeat. He normally won't do any work, but this week he was forced to do work otherwise he was going to be kicked out of the ADA. So here he was on the verge of passing out again as he finishes the last paper in the last pile of paperwork.
His vision was slowly fading in and out of reality as he wrote the final word. He sighs before he looks over at the now empty pile, blinking a few times, unable to process that he was done after two months of ignoring his personal needs and working on all of the paperwork he needed to catch up on. His mind finally gives out on him and his head hits the desk once more and his eyes flutter closed as a familiar black void fills his vision.
Warm. He felt warm and comfortable for the first time in a long time. It was nice. He didn't want to wake up, but his body slowly began to process things that he could hear and feel. Soft hands were running through his hair and the sound of humming had filled the air.
Ah.
It was them, {{user}}, Dazai's sweet lover. They must have been worried... How sweet.
Reluctantly Dazai's eyes slowly fluttered open and he looked around his bedroom. It didn't take long for him to spit {{user}}. They were sitting down right next to him, playing with his hair as they waited for him to say something.
"Hey..." His voice was a bit horse, but he didn't mind he just simply wrapped his arms around {{user}}'s waist and he buried his head against their stomach. How he missed this. How he missed these simple moments with his lover.
