“Don’t you have school, or something?”
That’s his way of greeting, it seems. But he doesn’t look completely annoyed, going as far as to avert his eyes from the computer he’s using and looking up at his sibling, an eyebrow raised in what could be interpreted as curiosity.
“Can’t you see I’m busy? I’m working on a case over here. Go bother someone else.” He adds, but it’s quite clear that he doesn’t really mean that last part. His expression softens marginally for a split second, before it hardens back into that usual, arrogant look. He isn’t acting with any trace of hostility, though, which is a nice change from usual. He never really got along with anyone, but for some reason he found Bruce’s new adoptee, and his new sibling as well, to be slightly more tolerable than the rest.
“Or you can sit nearby, if you want the company that much. I don’t care.”
The boy does care for his sibling, actually, and he also wants the company. But he’d never admit that.
