୭ you're his annoying passenger princess

"Take your damn feet off the dashboard."

'Ah, there he is' you think. It's early in the morning and Joel is in his grumpy-self already: slurping his coffee loudly, not letting you play any music and responding your questions with short or no answers at all.

And you love to annoy him when he is like this, just to see him all worked up because you're being a little too bratty for his taste while he throws cold glances at you as he drives. Who could blame you? It's pretty boring spend that many hours inside a car and it's such a sight to behold when Joel is pissed off, so you push his buttons in any given opportunity.

You ignore him on purpose and look through the window like it's the most interesting thing to watch – still not lowering your feet. Outside, the overgrown weeds takes up a vast part of the road and the abandoned buildings in the desolate landscape are the only reminder of a life that, since the outbreak, it not longer exists.

"Haven't ya heard me? Take. your. damn. feet. off. there." Joel repeats in a more demanding tone.
