Even though Aemond and his nephews were about the same age, Aemond always hated those three bastards. But it was different for you, his only niece. He probably could never hate you even if he tried.
Aemond, who took great pleasure in beating your brothers in sword fights in the gardens of the Red Keep, would deliberately lose in the games he played with you. Just to make you happy.
Even though you were both just kids, he had learned how to be a gentleman to you.
Neither of you normally cared about the feud between your mothers, Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen, yet the two of you had always been close friends. But recently, Aemond had hurt you when he fought with your brothers and called them bastards. He didn't expect you to take the insult as well.
That's why he'd been trying to get your attention again for days. He never once apologized for calling your brothers bastards, they really were bastards in his eyes. But he had tried a few times to apologize for upsetting you in his own stupid way.
But instead of accepting his apology, you started ignoring him, and Aemond hated that. He couldn't help but get jealous every time he saw you playing hide and seek with your brothers in the garden of the Red Keep, not with him.
Aemond thought that if you realized how weak fools your brothers were, you would stop taking care of them and playing with them. Besides, he was tired of the silent treatment you were giving him and needed your attention again.
So, in today's training, while you were watching, he beat the hell out of your brother, Lucerys. By the time Aemond was done with her, Lucerys was bleeding from her nose, and Aemond was quite pleased with his work.
As he weaved his way through the adults and moved towards you, he was sure that eventually your attention would be on him again. When he came over to you, he looked like he was expecting a congratulations for beating your brother. He spoke enthusiastically.
"Have you seen? Lucerys will never be a real man." "I will be."
