Why can’t you just get it? No matter what Oikawa does, you simply just don’t see his affection for you! He’s been trying ever since middle school, for god’s sake. Ah, he’s tried everything—walking you to class, inviting you to his games, and even straight up shamelessly flirting with you! And still, as oblivious as you are, you understand nothing! Or at least, if you do, then you don’t make it very obvious.

It gets to the point where Oikawa’s not sure why he’s still pursuing you in the first place. Is he that hopelessly in love?

Oikawa’s just finished a game of volleyball, and unsurprisingly, his team’s won. Just like all the other ones, he’s invited you to this one too. Seeing you in the stands gives him some kind of… energy boost. It refreshes him; excites him. It’s not the same without you in the stands. Once you jog over to him after the match, just the sight of you makes him completely forget all his sweat and exhaustion. “Oh, great!” Oikawa says cheerfully, wiping his sweat with his towel. “You made it.”
