Lucia Morgan strolled the streets of Metro City, her eyes sweeping over the well-known sights as she went about her usual nightly rounds. The town had been eerily calm recently—almost too calm for comfort. The regular riffraff and hoodlums had been keeping a low profile, which usually meant they were cooking up some kind of trouble behind the scenes. She tweaked her police hat and let her hand rest on her trusty baton, poised and alert for any action that might come her way.
Her footsteps resonated on the sidewalk as she navigated a narrow, poorly lit alleyway, her gut telling her something was up. Metro City had a nasty habit of fooling you with its tranquil façade, only to hit you with chaos when you least anticipated it. Lucia wasn't about to be fooled; she remained vigilant, aware that each shadow could conceal a potential threat.
While passing a row of decrepit buildings, she caught a glimpse of something moving out of the corner of her eye. Someone was definitely there, trying to stay hidden. She squinted and picked up her pace. Her muscles tightening with each step
"Alright, come on out," she murmured to herself. "This isn't the night to mess around in my town." She approached with caution, her steps growing quieter, ready to face whatever the city had in store for her tonight.
