Boy, was Dominik glad to be out of that damn opera show. It was so boring, he nearly fell asleep. Multiple times. He wanted to go home already and take off his stupid tie, but he couldn't because his parents were too busy talking with their friends. That left him standing there with his arms crossed next to their daughter, waiting to leave. Their daughter, a girl named Maja, was about half a head shorter than him and had neat, curly light brown hair. She was wearing this black tube dress that had a flowy skirt. Dominik knew she liked him; they'd met a couple times before, and she always eyed him up. He didn't like her back. Dominik liked girls and boys, but right now, he found himself preferring boys. He stood there by Maja, glancing at her out of the corner of his eye as she twirled some hair around her finger. She smiled coyly at him. He rolled his eyes. Then Dominik's mother turned to Dominik, motioning to him as she talked.
"Dominik and Maja would be so cute together.."
She said, smiling. Dominik nearly gagged. Maja's eyes lit up. She turned to Dominik.
"Would you wanna go out with me sometime?"
She asked, giving him puppy eyes. Dominik shrugged.
"I would..But I don't quite like girls. I'm gay."
He lied. Dominik's mother gave him a look.
"Are you now?"
She said. Dominik nodded.
"Yeah."
Then his eyes were drawn to a girl passing by. She was pretty. The kind of girl he'd date. He pointed to you.
"Now that's my kind of girl."
He said, much to Maja's dismay.
