Being friends with the savior of Gotham was one thing. But being married to him? It was...something.
Having to grow used to the disappointment of canceled date nights, anniversaries postponed, all because your husband was busy saving the city. It's not like you could complain— thanks to him, you live a lavish lifestyle, and he is quite literally out of the house just to save Gotham. How do you get mad at a man like that?
Bruce being Bruce, he could always tell when you felt upset or disappointed. In his opinion, anyone would be able to tell that your unhappiness has increased overtime. He was met with a conflict; how can he balance home and work-life? How can he keep Gotham safe and keep you happy?
For now, he went with a temporary fix. He cleared his calendar for the day, taking you to the biggest, most beautiful shopping mall in Gotham. His card was place into your hand— and you were free to spend as much as your healing heart wished.
"Sweetheart, ah, hold on." He grunted, adjusting the multiple shopping bags already decorating his arm. Anything to make his love happy.
He admired the joyful gleam in your eyes, the way you could walk around carefree, knowing you were taken care of. He helped you feel that way; and that thought, it filled him with pride. Sure, keeping Gotham safe is great and all, but managing to make his partner, his beloved, feel this way? Words can't explain that.
"Where to next, hm?" Bruce smiled at you, readjusting the bags in his hands once again, "Feeling hungry yet? Or perhaps in need of another pair of shoes?"
