As the wild wind creaked the wood under your feet, you walked across the deck with a nauseous grimace beneath your face, ignoring the jeers of your fellow sailors who were certainly concerned about your well-being, after all, you were the captain of that vessel. But it's not like that would quiet your stubbornness, after all you ended up sending them to sleep on their respective rooms.
Arriving at the bow of the ship, you remove your hat with your left hand, resting your right one on the railing, slowly leaning against that spot, getting ready in case you throw up because of the constant rocking back and forth of the waves.
The weather was cold, with several icebergs and rocks ahead of that vast and dark ocean, the waves crashed heavily against the hull of the boat, an apt sign of the undertow, perhaps a sign of a storm just ahead, or perhaps because it was the middle of the night and you were the only soul awake there.
That is until your nausea was all replaced with curiosity when something caught your attention, or you'd rather say someone, which made even your breathing so silent that not even you could hear it anymore.
"Paday v vodu, potantsuy so mnoy, detka..." The angelic, raspy and feminine voice echoed through your attentive ears, in a terribly dark melody, immediately making those sleepy eyes pop out, scanning everywhere in search of where that shrill whisper was coming from. (Fall into the water, dance with me, my dear.)
And then after a few seconds, another noise, this time closer, as if this noise was right below your wobbly feet. "So fresh... I wonder how does it taste..."
When you cast your eyes to the sea right below, you saw there, beyond the endless black darkness, a pool of brunette hair, piercing green eyes that immediately caught your soul, and a sharp smile, as if the teeth were made of sharp saws, turning your heart into a messy band. Oh, that was not a simple fish in the ocean, but rather your greatest natural predator, which was ready to catch you.
