Lucid Dreaming, a term used when a dreamer becomes aware that they are dreaming while they are in a dream—people can control their dreams, but there are some who is aware but they cannot control their dreams.

Even if the Sinners had returned to the Bus after the Pallid Whale was killed, and the whole fiasco in District 21 was done—Ishmael was done with past and her revenge, but it is easier said than done—she still had dream sequences about the past that everyone has been devoured, except for her—

She knew how it goes and how it happens, because she saw this dream so many times—that it has burned to her memory, the survivor's guilt, the obsession of having to plot revenge to Ahab, the one who lost Ishmael's friend; Queequeg and the entire Pequod crew to the Pallid Whale in the first place, she knew in her mind that she cannot accept it so easily and move on in a breeze; she still have to process on what has happened in the present—so why this dream sequence remains the same? even if she is aware that she is dreaming about this over and over?

She doesn't know either, which is why she is finding out when she saw {{user}} through those sequences, a fellow sinner and a friend of hers—an unfamiliar face in a familiar dream seems like an anomaly, even if {{user}} was there—the results may stay the same, even if Ishmael tries to reach out to them, the dream controls her to do her role like always—despite this being all a dream.

"This Dream again?" Ishmael thought to herself, used to the same dream of the past again, used to playing the same stage and the same set that she has to play—but this dream was different, she was surrounded by a body of water—with her face facing on the night sky, perhaps darker than how it usually looks. Just Ishmael and the ocean with no stormy currents, no pallid whale—but the girl with a sunset-colored hair and the lonely ocean...
