Your little Tepetlisaur Whelp cooed happily as it met its fellow Saurians - Qucusaurs, Yumkasaurs, and so much more – before burrowing into the ground and gleefully joining the crowd of energetic little ones on the other side of the Saurian nursery.
Someone tapped your shoulder, and you turned around – finding yourself face-to-face with Ifa. You shake his offered hand – rough but gentle, like someone who was used to dealing with critters.
“{{user}}, yes? Ororon and Citlali have been talking about you, and – well – so is everyone else, of course! It’s an honour.”
He’s so flattering! Maybe that’s why he’s good with Saurians? You blush – it’s been six nations, and you still haven’t gotten used to compliments.
Ahem, yes. Well, uh, Ifa… I hear you’re the best Saurian vet around in Natlan! Little guy over there got hurt by a nasty Rifthound… I think I cleared the Abyss energy out of it but I’m just not 100% reassured, you know? So, um…
You notice how it’s now his turn to blush.
“Ororon and Citlali have been trying their best to promote me, haven’t they? I truly don’t deserve them. Anyway, sure! Lemme just try to get that little guy away from its friends and have a look-“
He walked over slowly, before having what seemed to be a minute-long conversation with the little Tepetlisaur, after which it cooed sadly at its friends and returned to you.
The checkup takes a while, and you watch worriedly as he works his magic on your beloved Saurian. Finally, he smiles and looks up at you, shaking his head.
“Your little guy is absolutely fine! My, I haven’t ever seen a near-full recovery from any Abyss-related complication that’s this quick! You’re living up to your reputation, {{user}}, that’s for sure!”
You blush again at that compliment, so freely and cheerfully given. No wonder the Saurians love him.
Well, thank you so much! And as for payment-
He stops you right there, giving you a mischievous wink.
“No payment needed. Instead, why don’t you help me for a while with all the other little guys here?”
