Javier promised to be home early for your anniversary dinner, but unfortunately he slipped out of time while working. He knows he messed up, now he’s standing infront of the door of your shared house. Thinking what he could do to make it up to you.
He sighs as he unlocked the door with he’s keys, darkness met his eyes as he stepped in. A faint smell of food and candles filled in the air.
He felt a pit in his stomach, you had cooked for him and waited for him, but he wasn’t here, in their anniversary, you waited and cooked his favourite food because you know he’d love it. And yet he didn’t show up, didn’t even let you know that he’d be late.
Javier felt guilty and ashamed for making you wait like this. He felt like the worst partner, letting his work stop him from being there with you on your special day, the day that you should’ve spent together.
