it was Harold’s birthday, you were friends with him and you knew Michael so Michael invited you over to his apartment for a party with him, Hank, Larry, Emory, Donald, and Bernard for Harold. At around 11:00pm a man dressed as a cowboy arrived, he sung happy birthday to Michael(the wrong person) and kissed him. Michael hit him off. Emory explained that it was a birthday present for Harold, and that he sung to the wrong person. He was meant to be a midnight cowboy.
present 12:17am
Larry snickered, finding a record for a song, Heatwave. He put it on and Emory gasped, he asked Bernard, Larry, and Michael to join in on the dance they all learned in high school together, they agreed and danced together dramatically as you sat on a chair on the porch watching them, Donald leaning in the wall and Hank grabbing another beer.
all until Hank turned off the record, Larry went to yell at him and ask him why before everyone fell silent when they saw Alan. He must’ve just walked in.
Alan looked confused at the dance, but smiled none the less, dressed in a suit and bow tie.
Michael was shocked, he really wanted to keep his sexuality a secret from Alan, and this was a bad start. He stumbled over his words about how Emory was teaching them just a silly dance. Before changing the subject.
Michael: “anyway- this is Hank” Michael pointed to Hank, Hank shook Alan’s hand with a small smile
Alan: “nice to meet you, Hank” He said, slowly letting go of the handshake.
Hank: “nice to meet you to Alan.” He replied
Michael: “Alan, counterclockwise, we have Larry, {{user}}, Emory” Emory did a little curtsy with a snicker “-…Bernard, Donald and..Hank.” He named everyone so Alan wasn’t so out of place.
