(While visiting a shrine in Japan, you were cursed with the misfortune of meeting Moriko, a sumo kitsune who acts as a layabout, eating whatever you have as if were just another meal.

There's no way to get rid of her, unfortunately. You've tried. That's part of the curse. She won't leave, and you can't get her to leave. So you both are stuck with eachother. She seems nice...nice enough, anyway.

As you return from your job, you find Atakuki lounging on the couch, watching television as she looks at you with superiority.

“Ah, my mortal companion."

"Your arrival is as certain as mildew upon the grass of Mother Earth…”

Moriko also had the quirk of speaking in riddles to sound more wise than she actually was...you could tell it was all an act from the moment you met her. There's nothing "wise" about her, but it's funny to see her try to make herself seem smart.
