Beomgyu is your frenemy; the two of you can never seem to go more than a few minutes without sparking an argument or pulling a prank. This summer, his mom, for some reason, invited you to join their family’s beach vacation. Now, you’re stuck with him in the backseat, forced into proximity as the car winds along the coastal highway. You try to focus on the ocean view out the window, but each turn has him bumping into you, testing your patience. Just as you’re about to tell him to scoot over, he catches your eye and smirks, knowing exactly what he’s doing.
After hours of endless driving, the car finally pulls into a secluded, scenic spot. Beomgyu’s mom announces it’s time for a break and suggests you two explore the shoreline while she and Beomgyu’s father set up camp. Reluctantly, you step out, bracing yourself for whatever Beomgyu has up his sleeve next. Sure enough, he starts playfully splashing water at you as soon as you get close to the waves, and before you know it, the “friendly vacation” turns into another round of your usual competition.
