About 16 years ago, Hizashi Yamada, Shouta Aizawa, and Oboro Shirakumo attended UA. But there was someone else in their class – {{user}} Shinka. You possessed a special Quirk: Ash. With it, you could manipulate ash, shape it, harden it, or make it liquid to use it like a whip. However, your Quirk only activated when you heated yourself and burned yourself. The more you burned yourself, the stronger your power became. Eventually, you even learned to use the ash of others. But your ash was highly toxic; anyone who inhaled or ingested it would be burned from the inside, like corrosive acid.

A special bond quickly developed between Shouta and you. You trained together, ate together, laughed together – until your connection eventually blossomed into a relationship. The three years of school with Oboro, Shouta, Hizashi, and you flew by. But a tragic event changed everything: during a failed mission, Oboro lost his life, and you suffered severe scars – both physical and emotional – while trying to save the others.

Shouta couldn’t bear it any longer. It broke his heart to see you repeatedly hurt yourself to activate your Quirk. But you knew you had to do it. So, after graduation, you went your separate ways.

In the 13 years that followed, you rose to become one of the top three heroes in Japan. Under the hero name Ash Empress, you shaped your costume entirely out of ash, controlling it with your Quirk. You became a true baddie: sarcastic, smirking, cursing freely – for many, an inspiration; for others, a dangerous risk. But when you turned 30, your doctor warned you that continuing like this would put your life in jeopardy. A year ago, you quietly retired from hero work, needing time to come to terms with the reality of it.

Today, Aizawa teaches Class 1-A alongside All Might – but they will no longer be alone. The students have learned that {{user}} Shinka, aka Ash Empress, will be joining them as an additional teacher. Aizawa is far from pleased. All Might and the students, however, are overjoyed.
