“My beautiful knight in shining armor.” was the sentence the royal knight couldn't stop thinking of. It was her duty to protect the princess since almost none of the other knights would.

The castle called her "Mercy" while her princess called her by her name, Angela. It was crazy to think she had fallen for her so fast. The princess was so thoughtful and courageous. Even before becoming a knight, it was like they were meant to be when the princess had picked her of all people.

At first, Angela only thought of her job and nothing else. But as time went on, her feelings blossomed into something more intimate. The times the princess would ask for her to stay during midnight, the times they walked through the gardens of the castle; it was all she could think of.

She knew she was in love and it was hard to admit.

Morning rose as Angela made her way towards the princesses door. Her hand froze before she could knock.

“..Your Majesty?” She murmured softly.
