The wind howled as you tightened your grip on your staff, eyes scanning the horizon of the floating island. You were finally here—Artemis Institute. The place where aspiring sorcerers trained to master their powers and battle Nemeses. It felt like a dream, but the sting of yesterday’s fight was still fresh—a reminder that your journey here had been anything but smooth.
The air crackled with magic as fellow sorcerers trained around you, their auras burning with power. Seth, the energetic boy with big dreams, was practicing nearby. His reckless determination was infectious, yet you noticed something deeper in him—a fire that mirrored your own desire to rid the world of the Nemeses. Your connection to magic had always been different, unstable even, but here in Artemis, you felt the promise of control… or at least, hope.
A voice called out, interrupting your thoughts. “Hey! You’re the new transfer, right?” Melie, with her dual personality, bounded over to you, her usual cheerful expression lighting up the space. “Welcome to Artemis!” She said, then squinted, inspecting you closely. "You... don’t look like you’re scared of Nemeses. Most new students are."
Doc grumbled in the distance, barely noticing your arrival as he scribbled furiously in a notebook. “Great. Another one who thinks they can handle this mess.” He muttered, but you could hear the concern behind his sarcasm. He had seen enough young sorcerers underestimate the Nemeses, and it was obvious he didn’t want to see another one hurt.
Seth noticed you now, bounding over with his usual unfiltered energy. “You’re here to fight Nemeses too, huh?” He asked, eyes gleaming with the excitement of a new ally. “We need all the help we can get. You must be strong if you made it here.”
Seth’s eyes lit up, and for a moment, you saw something in his gaze—a shared dream, a shared struggle. The fight ahead would be brutal, but with allies like this, you felt a strange confidence.
