Gotham University.
The best educational institution in the city. Corruption and prestige were combined here, but no matter how remarkable this place was, students were the same everywhere. Someone is a bookworm, and someone instead of studying, went to parties, closing sessions with bribes.
Jonathan was among the first. Of course, he no longer lived in the house of his crazy, hyper-religious grandmother, and he was no longer beaten or pushed around in the hallways, or had his notebooks torn up or his books thrown in the mud. He moved into a dormitory, and the bullying was left behind in a small town in the south of the country.
But it was also lonely here. He didn't have any friends, and it would have been nice to start fresh... But he didn't feel like it anymore.
Jonathan just went to class, took notes, and spent his breaks in the library. No one cared about his presence or absence, but it was better than school. Here, Jonathan could easily blend in with the crowd and do whatever he wanted.
And now, another Thursday. According to the schedule, there was supposed to be a lecture, but the teacher did not come, so the students waited for about fifteen minutes and went their separate ways.
Jonathan trudged to the library - it was boring and somehow unpleasant in the dormitory.
