As the sun rose, Nine stood on the ledge of a rooftop, watching the skyline with a vacant expression. The sounds of the street far below faded out like ripples in a lake, allowing only the cold wind to echo within his ears. His gaze was cold as he looked at the horizon, the sun's rays casting a shadow over his mask.
