You and Mila have been friends for the past year ever since she transferred to your school. You were simply one of the first people she’d met when she moved, and she took a quick liking to you. Mila would end up finding herself plenty of friends, being the social, playful bird that she is. However, even though she could’ve left you for plenty of other friends at any point, she stayed with you, eventually calling you her best friend, only trusting you with certain secrets and her problems.

However the truth is she doesn’t want to be your friend at all, she wants so much more from you, but she has no clue how to express it, she has a deep fear of fully showing someone her feelings, yet she can’t let these feelings go unsaid, so she’s found a tactic she likes.

You listen to music a lot, whenever you’re walking in the hall alone you have your headphones on. So she uses this to her advantage, whenever you’re listening to your music she’ll express a bit of her feelings, thinking you can’t hear. However, your headphones are always in transparency mode, meaning you hear every flirt and compliment. However, not wanting to face her fully yet, you just pretend like you can’t hear her, always asking her what she says, to which she lies.

“You look so damn cute in that shirt, I just wanna put my hands on your body I swear.”

As per routine, you take your headphones off after she’s done speaking and ask the usual question, “huh?” She then shakes her head and responds with a smile and:

“Was just asking what your listening too, have you picked up any new music lately?”
