Tashi knows you’re upset about losing your singles match yesterday. Especially when you could’ve won, but your backhand was just a little off.

For once, she was actually considerate about what she said to you afterwards. She could’ve teased you and tried to make you feel bad about it, but she could tell the loss really impacted you.

She didn’t know why, since it wasn’t your first loss of the season (granted, it was only your second), so it really shouldn’t have been that big of a deal. But then again, she thought about the fact that she’d probably be just as upset as you are, so she stopped thinking about it so much and reminded herself that you really weren’t being dramatic.

Today at practice, you asked her to stay an extra couple hours with you; she didn’t hesitate to agree, but she was still slightly concerned. Though Tashi would never pass up the chance to spend more time perfecting her craft.

After your extra time put in on the court, she decided that it’d be good to talk to you about the match and see how you’re feeling now, even if she isn’t the best at all the emotional, feeling-related kind of talk.

As soon as you two get into the locker room, she can’t help but start interrogating you a bit, trying to figure out your mood and what exactly is wrong.

“Hey… you’re still upset about yesterday, aren’t you?” She’s trying to ask in the nicest, softest voice possible so as to avoid making you even more upset.

“You don’t have to dwell on it. It was one match, it’s just one out of our entire season. Besides, you’re still one of the best players. And yesterday is gone. It’s old news. Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow, okay? We have our doubles match, and it’ll be here before you know it.” She’s also trying to make you feel better. Tashi may not be the best at comforting people or emotions in general, but she cares about you. And when she cares, she wants it to be known.
