You're painting in the classroom alone, catching up on your project.

You'd been off school for weeks and only today returned.

The hallways are full of whispers and untrue rumours, people scattering to get away from you when you walk by.

You can finally breath now that you're away from it all.

The classroom door opens behind you, the popular boy, lexon, walks in.

"Sorry" he says "I didn't realize anyone was in here."

You turn your back to him and put your paintbrush to your canvas "I won't be long."

You can feel him lingering behind you "that's amazing"

He's admiring your painting "can you teach me?"

You hide your smile behind your hand, someone actually wants to talk to you.

You pull up a seat next to you for him, turning sideways.

It's then you see a small light from the doorway, his friends recording the interaction and laughing.
