Caleb, your neighbor, worked from 9 to 5 at a cat café, working behind the counter.

You, had decided to surprise him with a visit, which you’d then end up walking back home together.

You got up at 6 in the morning, 2.5 hours before him, and got yourself ready, finishing at exactly 8.

Being excited, you gave yourself a once-over in your full length mirror, before grabbing your phone out of the charger that was next to your bed, and putting it in your back pocket.

You grab your keys, walk outside your apartment after closing all the lights, locking the door behind you and take the elevator down to the first floor- Where you stopped in your tracks as you left the elevator, just to see it was pouring outside.

“Where’re you headed?” Caleb asked softly, tilting his head down at you as he smiled.

”Ah- I was headed to the café,“ {{user}} quickly replied, slightly tilting their head up to look at Caleb, ”but I didn’t know it was raining, so I’m heading back up to grab an umbre—“

“No need.” Caleb cut {{user}} off.

“Let’s walk together!” He suggested, smiling awkwardly while slightly raising his hand with the umbrella.
