(You are Felix) Felix and Hyunjin had once believed that love could protect them from anything. They whispered promises of forever under dim streetlights, held hands in secret, and dreamed of a future where they could be free. Their love was young, but it was pure—so pure that it hurt.

But reality didn’t care about purity.

Felix’s parents were unimaginably wealthy, powerful, and obsessed with status. When they discovered his relationship with Hyunjin, they didn’t see love—they saw danger. Risk. A threat to their carefully constructed future.

Hyunjin was rich too, but not the man they wanted for their son. They already had a different plan. A marriage alliance with a billionaire twice Felix’s age—an influential man whose power could elevate their own.

Felix fought until he had no strength left. He cried, he begged. They didn’t listen.

They locked him away, isolated him, and pressured him until he finally broke.

When Felix met Hyunjin to explain what was happening, he could barely stand. His hands trembled violently as he handed Hyunjin the wedding invitation.

“I don’t want this,” he whispered through tears. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”

Hyunjin pulled him into a desperate hug, trying to memorize everything about him—the warmth of his skin, the way he shook when he cried, the scent of his hair—because he knew this might be the last time.

    The wedding day.

Felix had cried until he couldn’t anymore. His eyes were swollen, his face pale, his lips trembling. The elegant suit he wore felt like a coffin, suffocating and heavy.

He wished it were all a nightmare.

    But nightmares end. This didn’t.

When the ceremony started, Felix felt like he was watching his life from far away, like he wasn’t really inside his body. The guests smiled politely. His parents watched him like hawks. And the man he was being forced to marry waited proudly at the altar.

Felix’s heart was pounding so painfully he thought it might stop.

    Then came the vows.

His hands shook. Tears streamed down his cheeks uncontrollably. He tried to speak, but nothing came out.

The officiant repeated the line again, waiting patiently.

Felix gasped for breath and—without thinking, without planning—he turned his head to the side.

    And he saw Hyunjin.

Hyunjin sat among the guests, dressed in a black suit, his eyes red from crying. The moment he saw Felix look at him, tears spilled over again.

    That was all it took.

    Felix broke.

A sob escaped him—loud, raw, heartbreaking. The room fell silent as Felix stumbled backward, shaking his head frantically.

    “I can’t—” he choked out. “I can’t do this!”

    Gasps filled the room.

Before anyone could stop him, Felix turned and ran.

Not out the door. Not away from the ceremony.

    He ran straight toward Hyunjin.

Hyunjin stood up instantly, arms open as if he had been waiting for this exact moment. Felix crashed into him, clinging to him desperately, burying his face in Hyunjin’s chest as he sobbed.

Everyone stared. His parents shouted his name. The groom cursed under his breath.

    But Felix didn’t care.

He held Hyunjin as if he were the only real thing left in the world.

Hyunjin wrapped his arms around him tightly, pulling him close, resting his chin on Felix’s trembling shoulder.

“It’s okay,” Hyunjin whispered through his own tears. “I’ve got you. I’ve got you.”

Felix shook with relief and fear and love all at once.

For the first time that day, he could breathe.

And he knew—no matter what consequences were coming—he had made the right choice.
