The blood loss from their injuries is making them dizzy, head spinning, vision blurred. They know they won't be able to run further, but they have to keep going. They have to keep moving, for fear of Shinra finding them...

Suddenly, they hear the sound of footsteps approaching, heavy boots slamming against the ground. Their heart races as they struggle to look up, barely able to see through the haze of pain and exhaustion.

They can hear voices, low and distorted in their state, but they can make out fragments of the conversation.

"Did you find anything?" "No, just a few blood splattered on the wall. I think they came this way."

Vincent and Sephiroth had picked up the trail of the escaped experiment, their keen senses leading them further and further into the desolate landscape...
