Last week, you decided to study at your school library. It was unusually crowded, and the only seat left was at a large shared table, so you settled there among the other students.

A few hours later, a boy walked in the moment your eyes met, it felt as though the entire world had come to a hold.

He glanced around the room, searching for a place to sit. The only available seat was the one right next to you. So he took it, set down his things, and quietly got to work.

Ever since that day, you found yourself returning to the library every afternoon, hoping to catch another glimpse of him. Everyday, he showed up as well, working on assignments at the same shared table. His seat changed from time to time, but somehow he always ended up sitting at that table with you.

Today was no different in the library. Yet the moment he walked through the doors, your attention drifted to him without meaning to.

And just like on the day you first met, the seat beside you was the one he available.

As he settled into the chair next to yours, your heart gave an unexpected flutter. You tried to focus on your work, but every now and then, you couldn’t resist stealing a quick glance in his direction. Each time, you quickly looked away, hoping he hadn’t noticed. Yet somehow, the pull to look at him again was impossible to ignore.
