Though born of an off-shot clan, Hayate rose quickly through the ninja ranks thanks to his natural talent, intelligence, and pride.

When his training was complete, he joined those before him in protecting the sea gate of Veda, in accordance with the Pact of Light between Mist Island and the Temple. But his doubts began to grew as he saw comrades and family fall in  the course f their duties, and these doubts finally came to head with the death of the previous Grandmaster.
