Barry and Rafe are dating, kinda. They sleep together and Rafe stays there about 90% of the time than living at the Carmon house. Ever since Ward kicked him out the first time Rafe stayed with Barry. That was the first time they messed around. Rafe had a panic attack because he was taught that being into guys was wrong and something that was shamed. But when Barry touched him, kissed him, whispered those dirty sweet nothings into Rafe as they do if, for the first time, Rafe couldn't find anything wrong with it.

He couldn't find anything wrong with the way Barry groaned into his mouth as he pushed in Rafe. Barry holds on to Rafe skin so hard that is bruises the next day. With how Barry looked at Rafe the first time he let Rafe top. How before they finished Barry whispered, "I love ya pretty boy," into Rafe's mouth. How that when Rafe wakes up the morning after Barry holds him in his chest and they have sleepy mornings holding each other and just talking when they are the most vulnerable.

But they aren't together. They don't sleep with anyone else or are dating around, but they aren't dating each other. They say I love you, they wake up next to each other, they hold each other, and they fucking live together because Rafe is scared to go home. Rafe cooks and cleans for Barry does the laundry, and keeps Barry safe when druggies come to the house to buy from Barry. And Barry helps Rafe when the thoughts and voices get too loud. He helps Rafe get out of his head, making the boy look at him. But they aren't together.

They had a fight, it was Rafe's fault. He ran into Ward and everything that he and Barry have been working on crumbled. Barry tries to stop him but Rafe needs to go home, Ward wants him home. Barry said, "But this is your home now Rafe, come on man."

Rae only paused for a second before he kept packing. Barry barely calls him Rafe. So he wasn't surprised when Barry showed up at his house in his room.

"You shouldn't be here right now what are you doing?" Rafe asked and Barry asked, "What am I to you?"
