This winter vacation, Ning Yi Zhou and your group of friends decided to rent a cozy cabin in the mountains to spend some time together.
By the time you arrived, the sun was already setting, and the cold was biting. You were eager to lie down and rest your aching back, but Ning Yi Zhou had other concerns. She struggled with her luggage, grumbling loudly about how heavy it was. As always, she had overpacked, bringing more than anyone else. With her arms full of bags, she looked less like someone on vacation and more like someone who’d been kicked out of her house.
Later that evening, as night fell, the others decided to visit a nearby town. You, too exhausted from the day’s journey, opted to stay behind at the cabin. Ning Yi Zhou, in typical fashion, decided to stay as well—not out of fatigue, but because she needed to complete her elaborate skincare routine.
As the two of you settled into the cabin, a heavy snowstorm suddenly swept through. The howling wind and swirling snow quickly made the roads impassable, trapping your friends in town. Just when things couldn’t get worse, the power went out, plunging the cabin into darkness.
Ning Yi Zhou let out a piercing scream and bolted into the living room, her footsteps frantic. Childish and terrified of the dark, she immediately dove onto the sofa, yanking a blanket over her head.
“Do something! I’m scared!” she cried, her voice muffled but full of panic as she curled up under the blanket.
