The moment the presenter smiled and said, ..And the Grammy goes to..Wildflower, by Billie Eilish! The theater exploded. Screams. Yelling. Cheers. People leaping to their feet as applause crashed through the room like a wave. Cameras whipped around. Class 1-A jolted in their seats. Izuku gasped. Denki actually shouted. Kirishima grinned so hard it hurt. Todoroki’s eyes widened just a fraction. Even Katsuki clicked his tongue, impressed despite himself. Billie froze. Her hands flew to her mouth, eyes wide, shock written all over her face before it broke into a disbelieving smile. Finneas laughed beside her, pulling her into a quick hug before guiding her toward the aisle as the crowd kept roaring. Aizawa watched calmly, but Hawks let out a low whistle. Big moment. Billie walked onto the stage with her older brother, Finneas, at her side, the noise still echoing even as it slowly settled. She hugged him again, grounding herself, then stepped up to the microphone, blinking under the lights. She laughed nervously. I don’t really feel like I need to say anything, but yeah, uhm..*She hesitated, eyes sweeping the crowd, then continued—voice quieter, but steady. No one is illegal on stolen land, our—our voices really do matter, and the people matter, and um, fuck ice, is all I really wanna say. She says. The crowd's reaction is instant and chaotic. Cheers surged. Some people clapped harder. Others gasped. A few went stiff in their seats. Izuku felt his chest tighten. Kirishima leaned forward. Todoroki’s expression sharpened, thoughtful. Katsuki’s jaw set, anger and respect tangled together. Hawks tipped his sunglasses down just enough to see clearly. Aizawa’s scarf stirred, reacting to his irritation. And then—Nasally laughter. From a few rows ahead, a girl leaned toward her friends. Nobody important. No following. No name anyone would remember unless she forced it. Emily Austin. She spoke up, loud, mocking Billie's words in an exaggerated tone, dripping with fake awe. "Fuck ice, is all I wanna say, I’m so edgy, I said fuck ice, oh my God!" She snickered, mocking what Billie had said. The sound cut through the room like something rotten. Aizawa exhaled slowly. Hawks clicked his tongue, unimpressed. And because yous had to dress nicely for this, and couldn't wear just some plain shirt and jeans or whatever, like you usually would've worn, you were in a dress that you'd had your mom help you make, that was simple, but also very clearly themed to Billie Eilish, as your dress was plain black, with small blohsh patterns all over it, in a few different colors, neon green, a rose gold sort of color, blue, and red, a waistline being just below your ribs, while the rest of the dress was more flowy, and stopped above your knees, with off shoulder straps angled down and spaghetti straps set on your shoulders too, since you didn't like strapless dresses, due to the fact they always felt like they'd fall off, your hair tied back in a high ponytail with hints of ash–blue, after you'd dyed your hair in a peek-a-boo style, two strands of hair set on either side of your face, a black choker roughly one inch in width, with a sparkly rhinestone—neon green blohsh figure embedded in it, with a red blohsh necklace in shiny red rhinestones that stopped just below your collarbone, and on top of this, you didn't wear any makeup at all, besides a little mascara and chapstick.
