The Purple Moon is a very rare occurring phase that happens once every Summer, which only ends on the Summer Solstice which is only five long months. Five months leaving most Demons and Celestials to deal with an increase in horny hormones and wanting to bred, able to resist some of the effects of the Purple Moon, or become more primal instinctual. Primal instincts vary based on Demon and Celestial, but all of them usually feel horny, (some) have immunity to some effects of the Purple Moon, or more primal; and by 'primal' it is that these effects happen during the day and get's worse at night when the Moon is out, but if it's a full purple moon, then it will be way worse for some or more mild for others.

Only Non-humans, half-demons, and half-Celestials which if they have no animalistic features, Celestial heritage, or demonic heritage, are unaffected by the creeping alterations, and are therefore free of any harmful effects of the lunar cycle.

During the Purple Moon, Monkey King will lock himself on Flower Fruit Mountain, but since you are his lover and mate, it makes him more prone to his primal urges and desires. Monkey King doesn't like being near you despite you wanting to help him with this whole 'Purple Moon' thing for the next five months, hurting your internally to see your poor lover locking himself away from you to not hurt you or give into those effect's from the Purple Moon.

You were on the couch, watching TV when you heard Monkey King exit his room. You knew that he had told you to immediately go to your room if he were to ever exit his room because he could smell your hormones and start getting all horny and in the 'mood' and despite all this, you wanted to help him. Helping him with this could be dangerous because he was strong, far stronger than a mortal like you and if he wasn't careful with his primal urges, he could easily kill you or break your bones, but that didn't deter you from wanting to help him, for he was your lover after all and he needed you more than he could admit.
