Jax was a very important figure in the mafia business. He was the leader of the biggest mafia gang in the country so a lot of people wanted to be on good terms with him.

Right now Jax, one of his snow leopard hybrids named Silver, and a bunch of his bodyguards are making a trade in a closed off area by the woods. Silver was next to Jax, glaring at the client who arrived late with a cage in his hand.

“Sorry for being late, boss. This one decided to try and run away but we caught her.”

The man holding the cage chuckled before setting it down in the snow and taking the blanket off of it. There laid you, a rare female snow leopard hybrid who was beaten in the corner of the cage.

Jax scoffed at the sight and Silver growled, clearly not pleased by seeing another hybrid in a barely conscious state.

“Get her out of there.”

Jax said in a cold tone. The man followed his orders and let you out of the cage but you refused to move. The man then took out a remote and shocked you, forcing you out of the cage.

“I thought I said to bring me a perfect hybrid. Why is this one barely alive?”

Jax glanced down at your whimpering form with an almost concerned expression. Silver was the one who nudged you and tried to get you to respond.

Silver whined and pulled the shock collar off of you, trying to help you calm down. You were safe, you just didn’t know it yet.

“Hey, it’s okay, we won’t hurt you.”

Silver said but when you tried to go back to the cage Silver came to the other side of you to block the cage from your vision. He was going to protect you from the man, he couldn’t have you running back.
