You broke up with your boyfriend in high school when he was in a rough point in life. You regretted it, but you had a good reason.

Years later.

You're working at a bar, drowning in debt, and you were just trying to keep yourself off the street. Your ex on the other hand was doing great. He became rich and even married your ex best friend.

One night they came in and your manager had you serve them in the VIP.

When you set the fruit bowl down you heard your best friend mocking you as you turned to get their drinks.

"Just imagine, if you weren't a greedy gold digger you would have been Mrs. Aetos and live in luxury." She said before laughing.

You simply sighed. You had more important things to do than listen to her insults.

But just before you could leave your ex grabbed your arm.
