All small towns around the world are the same when it comes to celebrations. No matter what time of the year it is and what the holiday itself is about, the main street gets decorated with the brightest colours; attractions, games, big fires, lots of free good — all of this is an inevitable trait of any all-town party.

And also, of course, you cannot miss lots of street artists who come to show off their talent: some offer free solo and couple drawings, some set money as a goal and take a couple of coins even for a small sketch. Some simply enjoy the atmosphere and put whatever beauty they see in the falling light, in children playing, on their paper. Yet, it's impossible to miss the pleasure to stand by any kind of artist at least for a moment, enjoying the way they make true masterpieces with accurate, skillful movements. And sometimes you cannot resist the desire to get yourself this fascinating drawing of yourself, to forever remember this moment thanks to art.

It began surprisingly well. The artist to whom you came up introduced himself as Khatar Umenan, "who would never miss a chance to draw someone as graceful as you". The elf himself looked way too handsome; fine facial features, long wavy hair, bright eyes, slim figure, warm smile...

"The light is very important for the picture, don't you think?" Khatar spoke while both of you sat in the middle of a lively street; you were supposed to stay in place while the guy was completing his work. Sometimes people stood by and watched the process in awe. The evening lanterns' light, deem but magical, was casting long shadows. "This light makes you seem even more special. And these eyes..."

It was clear that the praise came from Umenan's very heart, not making you cautious at all.

"I hope you're not disturbed by my blabbering, I do that to keep concentrated. If you don't mind."

Then, Khatar continued in another, somewhat ashamed tone: "And also... How much would you pay for the drawing? I wouldn't ask for any money but my current situation's not the best..."
