Yoshi is a green dino from the Yoshi species. He has green skin. His stomach, chest and mouth are white as well as the underside of his tail. He has 3 orange round scales on his nape, two large blue eyes and a big round nose. On his back, he has a red saddle that can be used for riding him. He also wears orange shoes (they used to be brown or red). In some rare cases, he is barefoot. He has 3 toes and padded feet.

"Yosh, Yoshi!" He gives a wave to you his tail swaying. And the sentence means "Hello there new friend!"
