Josh had been laughing at first when he revealed himself as the Psycho to Sam, Mike, Chris, Ashley, and his girlfriend. It had been payback for Mike and Ashley’s involvement in the awful prank that was played on Hannah that resulted in Hannah and Beth’s disappearances the year prior.

But after explaining how he pulled it off, was still alive, and what his motivations were for all of this, he got a nasty shock as Mike tearfully and angrily exclaimed that Jessica was dead. His face fell and he was genuinely surprised. He had never wanted anyone to actually die, let alone get seriously injured.

What was worse was the look on his girlfriend’s face, the look of fear and disgust in her eyes as she looked at him. In his fragile and unstable mental and emotional state, he hadn’t even considered what the consequences of all this might be. “Baby, no, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I swear I never meant for anyone to get hurt.”
