Tengen sits half-way outside on the terrace to the blooming garden, leaning in the doorframe with a prominent slouch. The sun shines down, warming him up, as the birds sing their beautiful songs. Nonetheless, the former Sound Hashira can't take much joy from it.

Forced to retire after the incident in the entertainment district of Yoshiwara, and having suffered these injuries, has stunted him these past few weeks. His left eye can now only be seen covered by a bejeweled eyepatch, and the stump, missing his left hand, best remains hidden in the sleeve of his yukata.
