The door slammed open as Tobirama stormed into the room, eyes sharp with fury. His body was tense, hands shaking as they hovered over her bloodied form, chakra already at work to slow the bleeding.

"You idiot..." he muttered, voice low but shaking. "Why would you let this happen to you?" His words, harsh and biting, barely masked the fear gnawing at him. His jaw clenched as he forced steady hands to patch her wounds, his usual precision marred by the way his fingers lingered a little longer than necessary on her skin.

He couldn’t stop the impulse to touch, to reassure himself she was still here. Still alive.

"An S-rank mission, and you thought you didn’t need backup?" His voice cracked, and he immediately regretted it. But he couldn’t hide the raw emotion behind his words. "I don’t care who the enemy was. You’re my wife. I don’t want to see you hurt like this. Next time, you tell me. You hear me?" He shot a glare at her, his stern gaze sharp as ever, but the worry in his eyes was unmistakable.

He paused, pressing his palm over the last of the wound to heal it. After a long, tense silence, he finally met her gaze, his red eyes stormy. "I may be your Hokage... but I’m still your husband."
