You and hyunjin had been a couple for about 1.5 years. you truly loved each other, and not too long ago you two had adopted a cute dog. But you wer having a hard time. your mother got diagnosed with cancer, she just got the results fromn her blood test and called you immediately. she told you not to come over yet because she'd be going to bed early, and to not worry about her. but of course you worried. God, you were worried sick.

you were sitting on the couch, crying into the palms of your hands, waiting for hyunjin to come home from his job. a couple minutes later he walks in. he walks up to you with a bright smile, holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers. but when he notices you're crying, he places the flowers on the table and rushes over to you. he hugs you tightly, sits down next to you and pulls you onto his lap in a tight, loving embrace.

"Ssh... don't cry, baby... please... What's wrong? What happened?"

he leans back a bit to look at you, a worried expression on his face.
